After you fill out our online form with your preferred cell phone number, you will receive a text message with a link. Follow the link to upload pictures or videos of the area you would like worked on. These pictures and/or videos will be securely forwarded to our team for review. A team member will contact you via a phone call to discuss your project. With the benefit of pictures and/or videos, our team will be able to talk timing, pricing, and other details we may not have been able to explain without a visual of your space. Once we’re on the same page, our team will schedule an on-site consultation.
Now that you have scheduled an on-site consultation with us for a specific date and time, you are one step closer to realizing your dream backyard! One of our expert team members will visit your house to discuss ideas and layouts with you. We will also take measurements and provide you with our brochure. During this time, it is important for you to ask any important questions or clarify any topics that you were unsure of while going through our website. Once the consultation is complete, we will return to our office and begin working on your estimate. We will not provide a rough estimate or a price per square foot. Instead, we will carefully calculate all the material and time costs involved. At Kelly Masonry, we understand that every project is unique, and we want to ensure that we provide you and our future clients with a fair and accurate cost estimate. We appreciate your understanding in this matter, as it allows us to determine the most reasonable price for your project.
Often our team will recommend a landscape design for your project before we begin work. This is always up to the client, but often 3D landscape designs save time and money in the long run. If you do opt for a landscape design our team will reach out to schedule another time to meet with our landscape designer to create a plan that works for you. This meeting is typically an hour long. We encourage clients to explore ideas on our website or sites like Pinterest, where they can gather inspiration for their space in one place. Our landscape designers will work together with you to design the perfect, customized space for your needs.
After your consultation(s) you will receive an email with your estimate. Once you have thoroughly reviewed the estimate and have a clear understanding of all the details, you can sign the estimate online via our portal. This is the point where the exciting part of the project begins!
After you approve your estimate we require a 40% deposit in order to guarantee your spot on our calendar. At this time we will provide you with an approximate timeline of how far out we are on our schedule. It is important to note that we are unable to provide exact dates due to various factors that can impact our day-to-day operations, such as weather conditions. Inclement weather plays a significant role in how our schedule is affected. Additionally, clients may request additional features or modifications to the project while we are working, and we hope you understand that we extend the same opportunity to you. As our season is limited, you can rely on us to work efficiently and adhere to our schedule accordingly.
If you have not yet made a decision, now is the perfect time to start selecting materials! Depending on your preference, we may have provided you with catalogs or samples to assist you in choosing colors. Please note that the catalogs may have filters and edits that can alter the appearance of the colors compared to how they look in person. Our team will be able to guide you in selecting the right color and type of hardscaping that best complements your home. Additionally, they will inform you about any price differences associated with upgraded colors and sizes. We believe in transparency, so the estimate you received covers all the included paver types and colors shown to you during the consultation. Any upgrades will only incur the price difference.
On the day we commence your project, our team will arrive and review all the details with you. If you are unable to be present, we will maintain constant communication with you to address any uncertainties and ensure that we are all in sync. The only access we will require is to water and electricity, specifically a hose spigot and outlets. You do not need to be home throughout the duration of the project as we understand the importance of work commitments. Please feel free to continue with your regular schedule without feeling obligated to take time off. We take pride in our skilled staff and their capabilities. If you would like any updates, we are more than happy to provide them to you via text or phone call.
Our team will arrive at your home with an equipment trailer and a skid steer to facilitate the work. Depending on the size of your project, more equipment may be required. We will also deliver a portable toilet to your home before the project begins as well. Typically portable toilets will be placed at the end of your driveway. Throughout the duration of the project, we will need to park our equipment in your driveway or on the street. Additionally, you can expect to see dump trucks on-site, which will be responsible for delivering and removing materials throughout the project. It’s important to note that these trucks do not remain at your home overnight; they travel back and forth between the site and our office with the team.
We require a 40% deposit at the time of project approval. Another 40% is due at the midpoint of your project. The final 20% will be due at project completion and after full approval by the client. We accept check, ACH and credit card payments. Fees may apply where necessary.
Our typical workday begins at 8 am at your property and concludes around 4 pm. There may be instances where we arrive earlier or stay later, depending on the distance between your home and our office, as well as the progress of the job. The crew will take a mid-day lunch break. At the end of each day, the crew will ensure that the property is cleaned up and organized before leaving.
Throughout the duration of the project, one of our managers will regularly check in with the crew to ensure that everything is progressing smoothly. Each crew is led by a dedicated crew leader who oversees the rest of the team. For any communication you have, it is best to go through our management or office. This ensures that your questions or concerns are effectively communicated to the appropriate individuals. We strive to make this process as seamless as possible for you. While you may not always see our management on-site, rest assured that we are in constant communication with our teams.
Now that the project is complete, it is incredibly important to communicate with us if there is anything that you are unhappy with. This is the ideal time to make any necessary adjustments. Once the job is finished and your property has been cleaned up, we would like to conduct a walkthrough of the project together to ensure that everything meets your expectations. We are here to assist you and ensure that your experience is exceptional. If you are satisfied with the completed project, we will send you the invoice for final payment via email.
